WARNING: Spoiler alert! The following contains details from Frozen. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I strongly suggest that you do not read any further. I do not want to be held responsible for ruining it for you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I FINALLY saw Frozen yesterday! I loved it so much! :iconannasqueeplz:
    This movie was everything I expected it to be and more. I'm so happy I was finally able to see it. I have it on DVD now, so I'll probably watch it again within the next week wink :P  My family probably thought I was insane (as they usually do) because I already knew the words to almost all the songs and lip-synced all of them. I also knew a few plot details... Curse you, internet! :shakefist: rvmp
    I thought the animation was gorgeous. I just love how beautiful the frost and snow looked. Superb job as usual, Disney! Clap
    I must say, this movie really toyed with my emotions. It started out all icy and "heave-ho" with some giggle moments from young Kristoff and Sven. Then it went into the drama of Elsa's powers and Anna being hit. I almost cried by the end of "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman". And then the coronation! Oh, that was such a great scene. Her hands were actually shaking! Bravo, animators! :tighthug: For the rest of the movie, it was mainly cute little things, most of which coming from Olaf and Anna. When Anna got hit in the heart, I about jumped out of my chair. From then on, I was on edge until the silly "Fixer Upper" troll scene. Then I was put back on edge, chanting, "Faster, Kristoff! Hurry!" When Hans revealed his evil plan, it took everything in my power not to run up and punch the movie screen while cussing him out. What a big jerk! I can't tell you how happy I was when Anna punched him.
    It was an adorable movie and I loved the ending. Yeah, it's a typical "Disney's Happy Ever After" ending, but that's why we watch Disney movies, isn't it? I thought it was cute.
    My only concern was that it had quite a few songs for my liking. True, I loved them all, but I'm not so used to Disney movies being structured so much like a musical as this one was. I mean, it seemed that every 5 or so minutes, there was another song.
    Now onto random things like faves and ships and whatnot. My favorite characters were Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven. Yes, that's basically the entire cast. No, I'm not choosing between them, because it is virtually impossible. photo icantelsa_zpsd9b946f7.gif
    I sooooooo ship Anna and Kristoff. They're too perfect to not ship! The only other ship I have in mind would be Jelsa, which I'm not sure if I'll ship it or not. I like how they have the same powers and could help each other, but I think it's sort of a bland ship. I'm not saying I'm against it, I'm just not going to ship it hardcore. I don't know. We'll see how I feel about it with time.
    My favorite song is definitely "Let It Go". I also loved "Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People". That one's hilarious.
    My favorite quote: "Let's go kiss Hans!" -Olaf XD
    That's about it. Please leave any comments about the movie you have. If you don't agree with something I said, please tell me what you think. I love hearing other people's opinions and discussing them. If you do agree, I'd still love to hear your input as well. And if you just want to fangirl over the movie, by all means, fangirl! I know I am! :squee:
Stay frosty!
My favorite character was Elsa: Wise, graceful, regal, noble, gentle, self-sacrificing, responsible, doing acts of true love by continuously putting the needs of others before her own throughout the movie, she is the most complex, deep, and intriguing animated character Disney has ever created.  yes, Anna and She were pretty, but Elsa's outward beauty was amplified by the glow of a beautiful character for those with eyes to see it shining through.
Of course, she had flaws: she was a victim of partial information, being told that fear was bad and to be avoided, but not told that love was good and to be embraced, and thus struggled with "stale programming" that continued to dictate policies ("conceal, don't feel") that didn't work.  Her inner sense of responsibility and love drove her to despair when she learned that her people were suffering while she was enjoying herself in her Ice Palace.  Her inability to fully control her powers so she could lift the winter grieved her immensely.  She also failed to take her own advice in "let it go" and continued to pay attention to what people thought of her, allowing Hans to play mind-games with her and knock her mentally offline, giving him a chance to kill her.
In short, I saw in Elsa a Disney Princess Just.  Like.  Me.
What I find amazing is that, in Elsa, I saw someone whose virtues I not only wanted to emulate, but also whose flaws I found instructive and insightful.
One of the tropes that Disney smashed flat and danced over was the myth of the All-Wise, All-Knowing, Mystical non-human: the Trolls had limits, gave partial information, and thus misled everyone who listened to them.  They only told Elsa what to avoid (fear), but didn't tell her what to embrace (love), and the "true lover's kiss" myth was suggested by Kristoff's troll "mother", leading the gang onto a wild goose chase for something that would never have worked.  Rafiki RIP.
And no talking animals!  Disney stepped up to the challenge of getting Sven to convey his thoughts without speech, although Kristoff "spoke" for him at times.  However, pardon my prejudice when I say that the very best, non-speaking, animal companion remains that Equine paragon of truth, justice, and the Coronan way: Maximilian of Tangled.
